Bookmarking Your VZO Website Correctly

If your institution uses Single Sign-On (SSO) to access the VZO system, creating a working bookmark requires an extra step. This guide shows you how to properly add, find, and edit a bookmark to ensure it always works.

💡 Please Note: These instructions are Chrome-specific, but VZO should work in all browsers. However, if you are using another browser and need assistance please reach out to support@visualzen.com.

⚠️ Why You Should Update the Bookmark URL

When logging in through SSO (e.g., Microsoft or Google), your browser is redirected through a temporary login URL, such as:

arduino
Copy code
https://login.microsoftonline.com/.../saml2?SAMLRequest=...

If you create a bookmark at that moment:

  • The link only works temporarily.

  • It’s tied to that specific session.

  • It often fails or gives errors when reused.

✅ Correct bookmarks should point directly to your institution’s VZO login page, not to a temporary SSO redirect.

📌 Steps to Manage Your VZO Bookmark

Add a Bookmark

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.

  2. Navigate to the correct VZO login URL provided by your CSX (Customer Support Experience) Team (e.g., https://yourinstitution.vzo.com).

  3. To the right of the address bar, click the ⭐ Star icon.

  4. In the Name field, enter a meaningful label:

    • Examples:

      • Production Link

      • Pre-Production Link (for pre-launch systems)

      • Archived Version

  5. Click Done.

📝 Tip: The bookmark will now appear in your bookmarks bar or menu for easy access.

💡 Note: After you create your bookmark, edit the URL right away to avoid future login issues.

  6. Click Save.

💡 Note: If unsure which URL to use, contact your VZO CSX Team for assistance.

✅ Result: What You Gain

Once your bookmark is correctly set:

  • It works every time—no more login errors.

  • It skips redirect confusion.

  • It takes you directly to the right login screen.

🛠 Troubleshooting

  • Still not working?

    1. Double-check that you didn’t bookmark a redirect or a page after login.

“A redirect-based bookmark may appear to work at first, but it will likely fail the next time you use it.”

✔️ Example of a correct bookmark:

bash
Copy code
https://secure1.vzorientation.com/commonproduction/controlpanel/signin.aspx

❌ Example of an incorrect redirected URL:

arduino
Copy code
https://login.microsoftonline.com/.../saml2?...
  • Still need help?

    1. Your correct VZO login link is usually provided during system setup or by your CSX Team. If you can’t locate it, contact support@visualzen.com

✅ Quick Checklist

  • I used the correct URL (not a redirect link).

  • I edited the name to reflect the environment.

  • I confirmed the bookmark works after logging out and reopening Chrome.
