Reservation Checklist Enhancement: “Save & Bypass” Option for Admins (2025/04)
Overview
To streamline testing and improve administrative support workflows, VisualZen has added a new “Save & Bypass” option for system administrators working within the Sign In Reservation (Administrator) interface.
This feature is designed to save time during setup validation, troubleshooting, and test reservations—especially when working through the reservation checklist items.
1. What Is the “Save & Bypass” Button?
The Save & Bypass button allows system administrators to:

Save the current checklist inputs

Bypass any incomplete or optional items

Continue to the next step without triggering validation warnings
This is especially useful for:

Internal testing

Simulating student scenarios without needing to complete every field
2. Where to Use It
Location:
Sign In Reservation (Administrator View) > Reservation > Checklist Section
This option appears when viewing a reservation as an admin through the Sign In Reservation tool.
Important Note:
The Save & Bypass button will only be available if an event has been selected on the Dates page of the reservation. If no event is selected, the button will not be active.
3. Best Practices

Use this tool for testing and support purposes only—it should not be used for actual student record completion, as skipped checklist items could impact system logic or student-facing status.

Make sure that your event is selected early in the reservation process if you intend to use the bypass feature.
